• Fish habitats and plankton diversity from the Tapiche River and the Iquitos area, Peruvian Amazon Basin (led by Nathan Lujan, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Canada, and Junior Chuctaya, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, Lima, Peru; started on August 2023).
• Evaluation of the conservation status of flag-umbrella fish species and their ecosystems in the lower Pastaza and Aguarico basins of the Ecuadorian Amazon (as PI; closing, September 2023).
• Benthos of flooded ecosystems of large rivers in the Orinoco basin (as PI; finished, 2018).
• Dynamics of meiofauna communities on sandy beaches of the lower Apure River: seasonality and effects of resource quality on meiofauna colonization in axenic sediments. Master's thesis of Massiel Pinto (as PI; finished, 2017)
